I am a therapist working in Brooklyn, NY. I studied clinical social work at Smith College School for Social Work. I have maintained an active Buddhist informed meditation practice for more than twenty years. Study in the mind/body fields and my practice as a meditator all inform my therapeutic work.
I have particular experience working with trauma symptoms that originate from childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault and other crimes, early physical and emotional abuse and neglect, as well as coping with addiction, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner .
It’s important to me to engage in active and ongoing learning with my colleagues, which I do regularly. Therapists are continuously developing and I find that each client shapes and changes something about how I understand therapeutic work.
